From 11-12 May 2024
Every year, Berlin hosts the Berlin ePrix, a single-seater electric Formula E championship race. Since the 2014-15 seasons, the event has taken place in Germany's capital city. The 2024 race will take place from 11-12 May 2024 in Berlin, Germany.
Tempelhof Airport was the chosen venue for the 2015 Berlin ePrix, where the competitors navigated through its 17 turns along a 2.469 km temporary circuit. However, due to the housing of refugees on the premises in 2016, the second edition was relocated elsewhere. The race finally returned to its original track at Tempelhof Airport in 2017 but with a shorter distance of 2.250 km and only 10 turns following an updated layout.
The track on the schedule is unique in that it contains outdated, low-friction concrete, which is utilized at airports. It also features an abundance of long curves, an enclosed tunnel, and ample space. Additionally, the tires wear down quickly due to the track's surface.
